Good luck and enjoy if you do stay.Burlington Ridge Complex, Tahoe National Forest, Chalk Bluff, Omega Overlook, South Fork Deer Creek, Remington Hill, Deer Creek Trail, Big Tunney Trail, Mill Loop Trail, Last Chance Trail I've read the responses from the owners and it's not something I would expect from an owner but it's their business and they will run it however they choose. I'm not listing the price but you ask for yourself to see how expensive it would be for your family. They have some animals that you can see for free but the rest of the exotic animals you have to pay. There are other places that offer better and I'm leaving a review of the place to inform people so they understand what they are getting from this place. I have kids and I had a hard time taking them in there to shower or use the toilet without sweating. Now, after reviewing the comments and it seems this has been the issue for over 4 years. From the Men's side it smells, the stalls have no locks on them, it's hot with bare minimum ventilation, the shower curtains do not c over the entire shower (plus they are stained). Overall I did enjoy myself, but using the facilities really made me want to rethink my decision. So I made the drive out there to have a nice time. The facilities are mediocre at best, and I honestly didn't want to believe the reviews. The river is great even though we are in a drought in Texas. This place is not great and not a place I would stay the night again. Yes, we are willing to give this place another chance. Hopefully some repairs and changes are made before our next visit. Overall, the river was nice and lounging around was good. The smell was bad and the vultures were just waiting for one of the bins to be opened to swoop in! Yikes! This place has so much potential if it were kept in good condition. Lastly, trash bins need to be emptied at least every other day. Faucets in laboratories need to be replaced, not working properly or broken. Inform guests toilet paper is not provided when reservations are made that way, everyone can bring there own and be happy. Toilets need to be replaced, they don’t flush well. Plastic shower curtains need to be removed (they are torn and mildewy) and wooden swinging doors should replace shower curtains. You needed someone well above 5’5” to be able to reach. Faucets need to be lowered for those that are not tall. Shower heads need to be repaired as only one shower was working. If it rain s, even better, everything would be washed and someone can go and spray some cleanser and sweep it or hose it out. roof needs to be removed from restrooms/bathrooms-too hot and smelly! Ventilation would be fantastic. Facilities were already in dire need of upkeep last year, this year they were worse. Last year we were there mid July and this year we were there early September. Chalk Bluff Resort and Park is a great place to spend a few days relaxing. But, it would be so much better if the restrooms/bathrooms were updated.
